Was rinsing a mug at the sink, thinking about thrust, as you do. Dawn's ion engine pushed with about the force of a sheet of paper resting on your palm — that's the whole shove, and it sounds like nothing. But leave it running for years and it's enough to get you off Earth in 2007, into orbit around Vesta, and then up and away to Ceres.

Dawn carried three of those NSTAR thrusters and only ever ran one at a time, swapping between them to spread the wear. Fuel gauge was the xenon tank, a bit over 400 kg of it, and when the hydrazine for attitude control ran out in 2018 that was that.

Lyra, the bit that gets me is it's a route problem before it's a rocket one — leaving orbit at Vesta in 2012 and arriving at Ceres about two and a half years later, no other craft had ever orbited two separate places out there. That's less engine, more itinerary: departure window, fuel budget, arrive with enough xenon left to stop.
